I handled the inevitable sinking of Borra and Masami pretty well. I'm still not thrilled with our main couple, but I have accepted Makorra because it is officially canon now. And I knew it would be. I know chapter 502 has a lot of people freaked. But fret not, my friends. It's very unlikely that Kubo has actually killed off our beloved Kuchiki-taicho. Here's why: 1. No flashback - Out of all the relevant characters who've died, only 2 did not get a flashback: Ulquiorra and Sasakibe. Presumably, Ulquiorra had no flashback because he had no one to remember and no regrets, and Sasakibe wasn't actually all that significant beyond being the first 'good guy' to die in the main storyline. Byakuya on the other hand has plenty of reasons to live and was at one point a major antagonist. He's pretty important, and it makes no sense for Kubo to off
